At the age of eighteen Xavier suffered a near fatal head injury whilst cycling home through Peckham Rye, resulting in a 10 day coma in Kings Collage Hospital.
Seeing Blake’s ‘angels’ on the Rye he re-learned all his life skills at the Maudsleys Neurosurgical Unit.

I was cutting and mounting the titles for my pieces and kept passing the off cut to this guy / client and he started making a college with them. I said you should sign and date it, which he did with a laugh. He was so chuffed he went and showed the others at the centre.
